A new extradition treaty agreement with the United Arab Emirates is expected to pave the way for the return to Ireland of senior members of the Kinahan crime gang to face trial for crimes here.

The treaty, along with an agreement on mutual legal assistance, is expected to be signed by Justice Minister Helen McEntee in Abu Dhabi next week.
