Dublin Restaurant Review | Tian Fu Jia Yan: Authentic Sichuan Cuisine 🔥
Author: White Hyacinth
Today, I visited a newly opened Sichuan restaurant called Tian Fu Jia Yan. Though it’s a Sichuan restaurant, it’s actually located inside Fujiyama, an establishment in District 1.
A friend told me it’s the only Sichuan restaurant in Dublin run by a family of Sichuan chefs, with three generations of culinary expertise. Their signature dishes like Tianfu Grilled Fish, Spicy Yellow Throat, Braised Pork Intestines, and Sichuan Pepper Chicken are highly praised by my friends!
Restaurant Name: Fujiyama (Tian Fu Jia Yan)
Address: 11 O’Connell Street Upper, North City, Dublin 1
Opening Hours: 12 PM – 10 PM
Since it’s recently opened, it’s best to make a reservation if you’re craving Sichuan food.
The Tianfu Signature Grilled Fish is highly recommended by the staff, and my friend couldn’t stop praising it yesterday, giving it a five-star rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
(I’m regretting not ordering the grilled fish this time, but I was already too full.)
The Spicy Yellow Throat (Huo Bao huang Hou)was the first dish served, and before the rice even arrived, the plate was practically empty. It was crispy, flavorful, and very appetizing. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Pickled Fish Soup (Suan Cai Yu) was just the right level of sour, with fish that melted in your mouth. It was the mildest dish we ordered today. People who know me know how much I love pickled fish, and despite my friend’s strong recommendation for the grilled fish, we went with this. It wasn’t as spicy or as impressive as I would’ve liked! 🌟🌟
Mouth-Watering Chicken (kou Shui Ji) had the perfect balance of spice, salt, and flavor. The peanuts were freshly fried, crispy, and aromatic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Dry Fried Pork Intestines (Gan bian fei chang) were crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect combination of Sichuan peppercorns and chili. The salt level was just right, and the dish was complemented by freshly fried peanuts, leaving a lasting fragrance. A must-try! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Hot Pot Mixed Dish (Mao Cai) is also one of their specialties. It was quite good, but my friend finished it after just a few bites. The spiciness level was just right for us. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Overall, the food was quite good! 👍 The service, however, was average—nothing particularly warm, and the serving speed was a bit slower than usual, possibly because we arrived right when they opened. My friend said it’s better than the much-hyped Sichuan restaurant Xiao Hongshu and suits our taste more. If you want authentic Sichuan cuisine, give it a try!
Fujiyama is located in the heart of Dublin, next to the iconic Spire and bustling O’Connell Street. The chef, a master of Sichuan cuisine from a family with nearly 40 years of culinary tradition, ensures that the restaurant strives to present the most authentic flavors of Sichuan to food lovers.
