Ireland weather: Met Éireann forecasts chance of thunderstorms tonight as wet and humid day ahead
There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms tonight as Met Éireann forecasts a damp and humid day ahead, with a Status Yellow rain warning in place for three counties.
Counties Carlow, Wexford and Wicklow will be under the warning from 6pm on Tuesday until midnight on Wednesday, with localised flooding, travel disruption and hazardous travelling conditions possible.
The morning will start cloudy with some mist and drizzle as rain will spread northwards across the country throughout the afternoon and evening.
The rain will be heavy at times as it remains humid with highs of 14 to 16 degrees before lowering slightly between 11 to 14 degrees overnight.
Tonight will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain that could turn heavy and bring with them the chance of isolated thunderstorms before another day of scattered outbreaks of rain tomorrow.
