Thierry Henry was the latest high-profile former player to suggest Manchester City’s centre-forward has weaknesses in his game, as he backed up Roy Keane’s suggestion a few months back that the big Norwegian striker is pretty much useless at everything other than scoring goals.

I love Roy as a pundit and always got on great with him when we played together for Ireland, but I can’t agree with him when he described Haaland as a player who has the ability of a lower-league striker.
