Ireland weather: Met Éireann issues rain warning for three counties after sunny weather today

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for six counties this Saturday.

The warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway and Waterford will be in place for the entirety of Saturday, kicking in at midnight and lasting until midnight on Sunday.

Heavy and persistent rain in impacted areas will possibly bring localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

The worst of the rain w ill clear on Saturday night with showers becoming confined to the north and east of the country, and drier weather moving in from the southwest.

Those showers will clear from the north and east on Sunday morning, giving way to a mixed day of sunny spells and scattered showers. Rain will be heaviest in the west and south with highs of 15 to 18 degrees.
