A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of nearly €1.4 million worth of gold bullion, a large quantity of cash, and suspected cocaine and MDMA.
Farhats Bathijevs (55) was allegedly caught with 18kg of gold bullion as well as €400,000 in cash, which was the proceeds of crime, following a search operation in Dublin last weekend.
