Lotto players urged to check tickets as €5.5m jackpot won in Limerick

The winner, who purchased their ticket in Limerick, won the draw for which the winning numbers were 1, 7, 17, 20, 22, 31 and the bonus of 35.

All players in Limerick and Galway are being encouraged to check their tickets very carefully as two “very substantial” prizes were won last night.

They have been instructed to sign the back of their tickets and keep them somewhere safe.

Alongside the life-changing sum of €5.5m, which was won in Limerick, a player in Galway won €250,000 in the Gold Lotto Plus 2 draw after purchasing it on the day of the draw at SuperValu, Loughrea Shopping Centre.

“What an incredible night for Limerick and Galway players, with two life-changing wins,” said National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane.

“We now have a Limerick player who’s €5.5 million richer, claiming the title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire so far this year, and a Galway player securing a fantastic €250,000 prize.
