Ireland weather forecast: Status Yellow wind and rain warning for two counties as Met Éireann warn of flooding and travel disruption
The warning came into effect at 9am and will remain in place until 8pm for Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow.
Met Éireann is warning of the potential for spot flooding and transport disruption in places as heavy rain and winds are forecast.
The UK Met Office has also put a yellow rain warning in place for Antrim, Armagh and Down as due to expected flooding and transport disruption between 8pm on Wednesday until noon on Thursday.
Conditions in the capital will be very wet and cloudy to start this morning with bands of rain becoming widespread and heavy at times.
Met Éireann said: “The rain will be heaviest and most persistent across eastern areas with spot flooding possible. Northerly winds will be fresh and gusty at times with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.”
The heavy and persistent rain will gradually clear southwards through the evening but it will remain rather cloudy.
