Man and teenager die following separate road collisions in Northern Ireland
A man and a teenager have died in separate road crashes on Friday night and the early hours of Saturday.
Jack Morrow, 17, from the Rathfriland area, died after a collision involving one vehicle in the County Down town in the early hours of Saturday, while a man, aged in his 60s, died following a crash in Poyntzpass on Friday night.
Police said a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident in Rathfriland.
A police spokesperson said it was reported to officers shortly before 2.30am on Saturday that a red-coloured VW Golf was involved in a crash.
“Sadly, Jack, who was from the Rathfriland area, passed away at the scene,” they said.
“A 19-year-old man who was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as serious.
“Our inquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the collision, or who has any dashcam or mobile…
