Dr Acupuncture Shines at Ireland’s National Ploughing Championships
The National Ploughing Championships is one of Ireland’s largest and longest-standing agricultural exhibitions, and it’s also among the biggest outdoor events in Europe, drawing significant attention.
Each year, the event attracts numerous participants and visitors from both within Ireland and abroad, along with exhibitors from various sectors. It’s hailed as the “annual celebration of Irish rural life.”
In 2024, the event was held in Ratheniska, County Laois, drawing approximately 244,000 visitors over the three days—a significant increase of over 40,000 from last year.
The event also features a variety of segments, such as agricultural technology exhibitions, machinery displays, livestock showcases, craft fairs, agricultural lectures, and numerous business exhibitions and networking opportunities, making it a family-friendly event for all ages. The food culture demonstrations and specialty tastings added even more charm.
A highlight of this year’s event was the attendance of notable figures and Irish government leaders, including President Michael D. Higgins, who personally inaugurated the event and voiced his support for the future of agriculture.
Of particular note was the involvement of Dr Acupuncture, a Chinese medicine clinic in Ireland, whose representative Dr. Du served as a volunteer at the Irish Acupuncture Association’s stand, providing educational outreach on traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Dr Acupuncture operates in several locations across Dublin, including Henry Street in the city center, the main street of Dundrum Village, Tallaght Square Shopping Center, and also at Wilton Shopping Center in Cork, offering convenient Chinese medicine services to the community.
By showcasing the power of Chinese medicine at this grand agricultural festival, Dr Acupuncture not only expanded its influence in Ireland but also promoted the health benefits of traditional Chinese acupuncture through interactions with attendees.
