Daisy Hall has been located safe and well in Dublin city centre, after the car the five-month-old baby girl in was hijacked.

The child rescue alert that was issued has also been cancelled.

Gardaí had issued the alert after the five-month-old baby girl was in a car hijacked by a man not known to the infant’s family on Monday afternoon.

Officers said they had “serious concerns that there is an immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare” of Daisy Hall.

The car, a silver Nissan Qashqai hatchback with the registration number 10-D-21328, was last seen in Mountjoy Square in Dublin’s city centre at around 1.50pm on Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí on 999 or 112.

Gardaí had urged people to not approach those involved, and instead immediately contact 999/112 or your local Garda station providing as much information as possible.
