A motorist who drives a diesel car has said he would be “fully willing” to make the change to an electric vehicle (EV) or a hybrid vehicle, but simply can’t afford it.

Secondary school teacher Jack Osborne has been on the road since he was in his first year of college. He recently moved from Galway city to Patrickswell in Co Limerick for work, and the additional travel he undertakes means his monthly fuel bill has doubled.
