Cllr Cahill and surprise candidate added to Fianna Fail ticket

Aged 39 and a mother of four, she is married to Kerry County Council member, Niall Kelleher who represents the Killarney Municipal District.

He had in fact withdrawn his name from convention last month in bid to support Norma Foley he said at the time.

Cllr Michael Cahill – the county’s longest serving councillor – has also been added to the ticket.

He and Linda will join Education Minister, Norma Foley, to run for the party in the next General Election. Deputy Foley was elected at convention to run. Following interviews Fianna Fail have now selected two more candidates.

Linda said she is looking forward to working with Minister Foley and Cllr Cahill in the months ahead.

She was born and raised in Killarney and has deep roots both in the town and throughout South Kerry.

She attended the Intermediate School in Killorglin and her parents ran a hospitality business in the area for eight years.

As well as being a practicing solicitor, Linda runs an outsource business process company…
