CAO offers: Students to receive Round One college place offers today

Thousands of students will receive the offer of a college place later today, with the CAO due to issue Round One offers this afternoon.
Applicants can view their offer and the cut-off points on the CAO website from 2pm.
More than 83,500 students have applied this year, with first found offers also available via text or email to those who selected that option.
They have until 3pm on Tuesday 3 September to accept their offers, with Round Two offers then released on September 9.
Students who accept their offer today will subsequently receive information from their chosen institution about registration and starting college.
Last year saw a record-breaking 59pc of Level 8 (honours degree) offers for an applicant’s first preference course, compared to 54pc the year prior.
