Three people have been hospitalised in a second crash in Donegal within hours after a teenager and a man died in an earlier crash.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle collision at Inver, Co. Donegal.

The collision occurred shortly before 9am this morning, Sunday, August 25, 2024.

Three people have been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed with local diversions in place. The second crash came after a teenager was killed and another man badly injured in a car crash last night.

The teen was a passenger in the car that crashed on the R240 at Cross, Quigley’s Point, at approximately 11.15pm, leaving the driver, a man in his 20s, with serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the “fatal, single-vehicle road traffic collision”.
