Teenager dies and man seriously injured in Co Donegal collision

A male teenager has died, and another man has been hospitalised following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Co Donegal.

The collision occurred at around 11.15pm on Saturday night, August 24th, on the R240 at Cross, Quigley’s Point, Co Donegal.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for treatment of injuries that are believed to be serious.

The road remains closed on Sunday morning to allow for an examination of the scene by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

They are asking any road users who may have camera footage, including dashcam, and were travelling in the area at the time, to make the footage available to Gardaí.
