The New Theatre, Wednesday 11th September – Saturday 14th September
This is the worst audition you’ve ever had.
Three auditionees from different identity backgrounds audition for a part in one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, directed by an intensely respected director set on reinventing the play in “unorthodox” styles.
As the audition unfolds, the actor’s identities are called into question in the audition room.
This is a raw and hilarious interrogation of the difficult conversations that are happening in theatre today, because at the end of the day, if we don’t laugh, we’ll cry.
Please note: Contains the use of smoke machines, strobe lightings, depictions of violence and references to racial and sexual discrimination
