A man in his 20s who sustained multiple lacerations to his liver, lung and bowel during a feud related stabbing in a midlands town last week was allegedly told by his attacker as he stood over him: ‘You are going to die today’, a court has heard.

The episode, which unfolded in broad daylight along Mullingar’s Austin Friar Street last Friday, is one of 15 feud related incidents gardaí are investigating and which last night led to a near three hour special court sitting in the midlands town.
