VIRGIN Media is to review its spending on news and current affairs journalism after the government’s decision to give crisis-hit RTÉ a multi-million bailout.

In a hard-hatting statement, Managing Director of Virgin Media Television Áine Ní Chaoindealbháin said it is “extremely disappointed” by the Cabinet’s decision to guarantee €725m for RTÉ over the next three years.
