Simon Harris says decision on RTÉ funding due today marks ‘significant milestone’ in broadcaster saga

Taoiseach Simon Harris has said the decision on funding for RTÉ being made by Cabinet on Wednesday marks a “significant milestone” after what he called a “saga” at the national broadcaster.

He said €725 million in funding for RTÉ for the next three years is “significant” and that other sectors such as the health service do not have that level of certainty about future funding.
