A judge has jailed for 18 months a 28-year-old man who told his mother “I am going to kill Benson” before repeatedly stabbing the woman’s “beloved” dog with a knife.
At Ennis Circuit Court, Judge Francis Comerford imposed a 21-month prison term with the final three months suspended on Jason Burke of Cnoc na Scoile, Kilrush Rd, Ennis and formerly of Shannon.
