FAI coaches warned over US trip with Brighton and Ireland striker Evan Ferguson’s agent
Internal process was held in association over a possible breach of conflict of interest rules
The FAI has given three coaches a warning about possible breaches of association rules on conflicts of interest after they participated in coaching sessions in the US arranged by a prominent Irish agent last year.
The three coaches, one of whom works in operations for the FAI, have all been involved in under-age national teams. They took part in coaching seminars and training sessions, sometimes wearing FAI training tops, with David Berber, an agent whose most prominent client is Brighton and Ireland striker Evan Ferguson. Some of the FAI coaches posted numerous photos of their US trips with Berber on their social media pages.
