Saol Nua: The Refugee Experience In Ireland Photo Exhibition
CHQ Building , Saturday 29th June – Monday 1st July
The Saol Nua is an exhibition that features amazing refugees and people still in the protection process. The exhibition is a celebration the fortitude of refugees and work being done by communities across Ireland to help people in the process cope with life in international protection.
The nuanced, diverse and detail-laden photography, that include letters written by participants and mementos, also encourage the viewer to look a bit closer and spurs further curiosity as it presents participants as relatable individuals on a life changing, profound and unique journey in Ireland.
The project a collaboration between the IRC and the photographer Michael Sugrue who is the Director of Mayrose Future company, who has offered his time, expertise and tools to us for free.
