Met Éireann issues Status Yellow rain warning for five counties tonight

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for five countries from tonight as showers are expected to become heavy and persistent at times with a chance of spot flooding.
The warning will come into effect for counties Dublin, Louth, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow from 9pm this evening and will remain in place until 2pm on Wednesday.
It was a dry start to the day some sunny spells developing across the west of the country later and some patchy light rain expected in the southeast this evening, Met Éireann said.
Dry conditions will dominate elsewhere as highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees are expected.
Outbreaks of rain are forecast to spread up through Leinster overnight, though it will be largely dry elsewhere during a colder night with temperatures hitting lows of -1 to 4 degrees.
