Lately, when I meet scientists from the US, the main topic of conversation is how the Trump administration is attacking science. They fear for their jobs and the ability to fund their research.
As a fellow scientist, I feel for them and understand their anxiety. But it also means we are distracted from what we should be talking about: our latest discoveries.
