Cooler temperatures and more unsettled weather are on the way for next week.

There are cooler temperatures and cloudy days on the way as the recent period of sunshine comes to an end.

Mist and fog that developed overnight will clear this morning, bringing a cloudier day with occasional spells of sunshine.

There may be some showers near the east coast and in the afternoon, rain and drizzle will move into the west before spreading eastwards during the evening.

The west coast will see sunny spells late in the day, while highest temperatures will cool to between 12 and 17 degrees.

Rain and drizzle will clear eastwards early tonight, leaving a mix of cloud and clear spells. Scattered showers will spread from the Atlantic overnight, with lows of 1 to 7 degrees.

There will be a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers tomorrow, with showers moving eastwards and a chance of hail and thunder.

The west of the country will see more prolonged showers in the evening, while it will turn dry further…
