Temperatures to soar to 22C today in final day of sunshine before changes overnight

Temperatures are set to soar to their highest today, at 22C in what will be another dry and mainly sunny day, Met Éireann has said.

Make the most of the time outdoors today as it will feel quite warm, with highest temperatures generally ranging from 17 to 22 degrees.

But the good weather spell may be coming to an end.

While it will be dry and mostly clear at first tonight, some areas will experience mist and fog.

Temperatures will see a very sudden drop again tonight, with lowest markings between 0 to 6 degrees.

On Saturday, many areas will hold dry for a good part of the day, although a few showers are possible at any stage in south-eastern and eastern coastal parts.

As well as this a band of rain and drizzle will start to move in from the west later in the afternoon and evening.

Highest temperatures will be between 12 to 17 degrees, dropping to 2 to 7 degrees…
