A Kilkenny man who collapsed while on holiday in Spain after suffering a heart attack “is still fighting bravely to recover”.

Michael Wall from Callan in Co Kilkenny collapsed after suffering a massive heart attack on Monday June 3 and then suffered a brain stroke.

Michael is now in intensive care and on life support at Dr Jose Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote, Spain.

His family say he has not yet woken up, but “he has shown some small positive movements”.

The family have set up a Go Fund Me page in aid of Michael, so they can raise money to get him home to Ireland.

“On Monday June 3 while on holiday, Michael collapsed with a massive heart attack and then suffered a brain stroke,” said Michael’s daughter-in-law Jenny Wall on the Go Fund Me page.
