It’s March 20, 2025, and through the grainy haze of CCTV footage, we see Kerry farmer Mike Gaine in his local Centra in Kenmare making a simple purchase.
He moves through the store with the familiarity of routine, topping up his phone credit. All seems normal. Moments later, Mr Gaine leaves the shop, gets into his bronze Toyota RAV4, starts the engine and drives away.
He hasn’t been seen since.
Three weeks after his disappearance, there have been extensive search efforts involving gardaí, the Defence Forces, the Coast Guard and hundreds of volunteers.
Yet there has been no sign of the farmer.
