CCTV released of last recorded sighting of missing Kerry farmer as search continues

Gardaí have also renewed their appeal for information as the search for the 56-year Kenmare farmer now enters its fourth day.

They have released CCTV footage of Mr Gaine in Centra in Kenmare which is one of the last recorded sightings of him captured on Thursday, March 20.

Mr Gaine bought phone credit at around 9.48am that morning. He was also seen just a few minutes later in Kenmare town shortly before 10am.

A major search operation has been underway since last Friday, March 21 when Mr Gaine was first reported missing.

Hundreds from the local community have joined search and rescue groups who are combing lands near Molls Gap, Co Kerry, in a search for the missing man.

The local community have also rallied to provide food and refreshments for the hundreds of volunteers who are assisting in the major search operation.

The search has concentrated on farm lands belonging to Mr Gaine as well as neighbouring lands.
