Two pedestrians seriously injured after being hit by taxi in Letterkenny

Gardaí in Co Donegal have closed a number of roads following a serious overnight collision.

Two male pedestrians were left seriously injured following the incident at Lower Main Street in Letterkenny.

The single-vehicle incident involved a local taxi.

The vehicle also collided with a house causing some minor damage.

The two pedestrians were rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car, a male aged in his late teens, was arrested at the scene, and remains in Garda custody.

Gardaí have sealed off the area for a technical exam by investigators. They are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
