Former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede and her pro dance partner Robert Rowiński became the next couple to bid farewell to the dance floor on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars, following their elimination from the semi-final on Sunday night.
Commenting on leaving the competition, Akorede said: “I genuinely thought I’d be out first, so to have made it to the semi final, it means the world.
She added: “I’m really proud to have come this far. I hope people can look at my journey in this show and know that no matter what you’re going through, you can pick yourself up and keep going every single day.”
Akorede and Rowiński will speak to Laura Fox on 2FM at 9.30am on Monday morning for their first broadcast interview following their exit from the show.
Joining Akorede in the dance-off this week was Taekwondo athlete Jack Woolley.
Akorede and Rowiński danced the Foxtrot to Black Magic by Little Mix, scoring a total of 35 points.
