Milder weather on the way as mix of sunshine and drizzle forecast

Conditions will clear to dry and bright weather from the northwest and spreading into Connacht and Ulster by this afternoon with some sunny spells developing.

There will be some spots of light rain and drizzle as highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees are expected before dropping as low as -1 to 4 degrees overnight.

There could be some icy patches that develop tonight in areas with clear spells.

Frost, ice, mist and fog will clear tomorrow morning to leave a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.

There will be a few isolated showers with highs of 9 to 11 degrees expected before dropping as low as 1 to 5 degrees overnight.

Met Éireann has said the settled weather will continue into the middle of next week at least, and it will become milder as the days progress.
