Gardaí have released without charge a 40-year-old man about the death of a 39-year-old woman in the bathroom of a ferry that arrived at Rosslare Europort on Tuesday evening.

The man and woman, who both lived in the UK, were known to each other.

Gardaí are not looking for anyone else in relation to the death of the woman.

It’s understood that the incident is now being treated as a personal tragedy.
