Investigation underway after serious stabbing incident in Kerry

An investigation is underway in North Kerry following a serious incident in the town of Listowel during which a man was stabbed several times.
The frenzied attack took place in the early hours of Sunday, February 23 during a house party in the Clieveragh area of the town.
The victim is from North Kerry and was stabbed approximately seven times during the attack.
However, his injuries are not life-threatening, The Kerryman understands.
The suspect of the attack was visiting the area at the time and has been arrested.
He is currently being detained at a garda station in Kerry.
