Met Éireann issues Status Yellow wind warning for seven counties with ‘difficult travel conditions’ likely
The warning will run from 4am-8am on Friday in counties Cork and Kerry, and 6am-10am in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford.
Met Éireann have warned that potential impacts include: fallen trees or branches, difficult travelling conditions and debris or loose objects displaced.
Thursday will also be a blustery day but with no warnings in place. Squally rain pushing northeastwards over the country and will be followed by a clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers.
The showers will become less frequent by evening, with mostly dry weather expected.
Temperatures are likely to range between 11 and 14C, with fresh and gusty winds.
Tonight will remain largely dry early at night, however rain will spread from the south later on.
There will be some heavy falls overnight, bringing the possibility of spot flooding.
