Three teenagers have been arrested following a fire at a stud farm in Co Kildare that almost claimed the lives of 18 pregnant mares and resulted in over €150,000 in damage.

Gardaí arrested the three individuals as part of their ongoing investigation into an incident of criminal damage by fire at Rathasker Stud in Naas, Co Kildare on Friday, February 7 at approximately 5.25pm.

Three male juveniles in their mid-teens were arrested during an operation this morning and were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in Co Kildare.
