Gardaí investigating the circumstances around the death of a man following an incident in Malahide
A man in his 60s has died following a suspected assault at a residence in Dublin this morning.
A man, aged in his late 20s, has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the incident in Malahide, which occurred around 8.30am.
Gardaí found the man in his 60s unresponsive when they attended the residence earlier today.
He was declared dead at the scene.
The man in his 20s is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a garda station in the Dublin area.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
The scene is preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.
