It was a co-op that started modestly in a caravan in a mud-spattered field on the edge of the town of Listowel.

When ordinary farmers such as Eddie Hayes campaigned for a milk processing facility in Kerry more than half a century ago, little did they know that they would create a billion-euro bonanza for ordinary investors in the county in 2025.
