A man aged in his forties has died following an alleged serious assault in Dublin 15.

The alleged incident took place at the entrance to the car park of a licensed premises on Clonsilla Road, Clonsilla, Dublin 15, shortly after 11pm last Sunday, February 2.

The man, who was seriously injured in the incident, died at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown last night.

A family liaison officer has been assigned to support the family of the deceased.

A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested in connection with this incident and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court last Tuesday.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are now renewing their appeal for witnesses and asking anyone who was in the vicinity of the premises at the time of the incident to contact them.

They are also asking anyone with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from Clonsilla Road between the junctions of Shelerin Road and Porterstown Road at the time, to…
