Man (20s) due before court after man (50s) seriously injured in Maynooth assault

A man is due before court after an incident in Maynooth, Co Kildare yesterday which left another man seriously injured.
The man, aged in his twenties, was arrested and charged after a serious assault.
Gardaí made the arrest after the alleged incident at an “educational establishment” in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, gardaí report.
They said the incident occurred on Monday, February 3 at 6.50pm.
A man (50s) is receiving medical treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
Two other men were also injured during the incident.
The arrested man is due to appear before Naas District Court this morning, February 5 at 10.30am.
