Man (60s) killed and woman injured in three-vehicle crash in North Dublin
One man has died and a woman injured in a three-vehicle crash at Blakes Cross in North Dublin this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R129 at Thomondstown shortly before 10am.
The driver of one vehicle, a man aged in his 60s, has been pronounced dead at the scene.
The female occupant of another vehicle was taken to hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
The R129 is currently closed at Blakes Cross to facilitate a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the vicinity of Blakes Cross and Thomondstown this morning, between 9.30am and 10am are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
