William ‘Willie’ Moorehouse (36), with an address at the Half Moon Halting Site at Windgates, between Bray and Greystones in Co Wicklow, was discovered in an area of a park close to a playground about 6pm.
Efforts to resuscitate him by locals and the emergency services at the scene on Boghall Road, Ballywaltrim, were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Today, a woman who knows Mr Moorehouse’s family well described how she came upon him being treated on the ground as she went to look for her dog.
