Boost for Ireland and Leinster as Dan Sheehan and James Lowe step up recovery from injuries

Dan Sheehan and James Lowe have handed Leinster and Ireland a major boost, as both key internationals have stepped up their recoveries from respective injuries.
Sheehan damaged his ACL whilst playing for Ireland in South Africa last July, but the hooker is on track to make a swift recovery ahead of tomorrow’s Six Nations squad announcement.
It remains to be seen if Sheehan will be pressed back into action for Saturday’s Champions Cup clash with Bath at the Aviva Stadium, while winger Lowe is in a similar boat as he looks to overcome a calf issue.
Back-row Will Connors is also back in the mix following a spell out, while Tommy O’Brien was ruled out of the starting XV for last weekend’s win over La Rochelle as a precaution, and as such, the winger will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on availability.
