Status Yellow fog warning remains in place this morning as Met Éireann warns of poor visibility
A nationwide Status Yellow fog warning remains in place until 9am this morning, with Met Éireann warning of foggy conditions will lead to impaired visibility.
It will be a chilly start to the day, with fog and frost patches clearing this morning as much of the country will remain dry.
Patchy rain will spread to Atlantic coastal areas at times before more persistent rain will develop in west Munster and west Connacht during the afternoon and evening.
The cold snap is thawing, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 6 to 11 degrees, coolest in Ulster. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall no lower than 7 to 11 degrees.
Monday will see outbreaks of rain and drizzle, with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees expected.
Met Éireann has said it will remain mild over the coming days, with the best of the dry weather over the eastern half of the country.
