Green Party minister’s son releases rap song in bid for local elections
Green Party Minister Pippa Hackett’s son is running in the local elections and has released a rap song as part of his campaign.
Charlie Hackett is running for a seat on Laois County Council and if elected he will join his mother and father in politics.
Ms Hackett’s husband Mark took her seat on Offaly County Council after she was elected to the Seanad and subsequently appointed to Cabinet by Green Party leader Eamon Ryan. Mark Hackett is running to retain the seat he was co-opted into after the last General Election.
Charlie Hackett describes himself as a 20-year-old media student in the University of Limerick. He also. notes that his parents farm organic beef and sheep.
The song he issued as part of his campaign encourages people to vote Green along with criticisms of the “Commie” invasion of Ukraine and calls to Free Palestine.
