A “multi-hazard weather event” with snow accumulations followed by a significant drop in temperatures will pose a significant risk over the coming days.

There was significant snowfall overnight, particularly in Munster and southern Leinster. Around 28,000 homes, businesses and farms are without power according to the ESB, with crews deployed and working to restore power where it is safe to do so.
