Anthony ‘Anto’ Hogg (40) and his wife Georgina (39) died following a road traffic collision in west Dublin on December 26.

The couple, who have two children, were struck by a car close to the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.

Their joint funeral mass took place this morning at the Church of St Philip the Apostle in Clonsilla which was attended by hundreds of heartbroken mourners.

In his homily parish priest Fr George Adzato said they lived their lives with love for their friends, family, and those around them.

He also told the congregation how the couple had planned to fly to Spain later this month to celebrate their wedding anniversary in the country where they got married.

“Their relationship was a testament to commitment and partnership, and their shared faith was a source of strength in their lives,” Fr Adzato said.

They are survived by their children, Ryan and Becky-Joy, who the couple both adored “in a very special way”.
