Met Éireann forecasts wet and windy conditions ahead of New Year’s Eve

The weather will gradually become more unsettled moving into the New Year, Met Éireann has said.
Outbreaks of rain will affect northern and western areas this morning.
But the rain will become patchier as it slowly moves southeastwards throughout the day, bringing only minimal amounts over Munster and Leinster.
The highest temperatures today are set to range between 8 and 11C.

It will be dry tonight, with clear spells, but there might be some odd showers possible across western and northern counties.
