Taoiseach condems 'agregious attack' on two off-duty gardaí in Dublin city

The Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Minister for Justice have all condemned an attack on two off-duty gardaí in Dublin city centre on Saturday morning.

Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee says the attack ‘was appalling’, and Simon Harris says his thoughts are with the gardaí and their families.

In a statement on X, the Taoiseach said “My thoughts are with the off duty gardaí who were victims of an alarming & agregious attack in Temple Bar last night, one of who remains in hospital.

“The perpetrators of this attack will face the full rigours of the law. Anyone with information, please contact An Garda Siochana.”
